Where do the children come from?
The children in our care are referred to us through official channels, primarily by Moroccan child protection services and local courts. They come from diverse backgrounds and challenging circumstances such as loss of parents, abandonment, or situations where their families are unable to provide safe care. Each placement is made with the child’s long-term well-being as the top priority.
How many children live at the village?
Dar Atlas Village is a true community, currently home to around 200 children. They live in small, family-style houses, each cared for by a dedicated full-time housemother who provides stability, love, and guidance.
Our commitment is long-term. Most children grow up with us from early childhood until they are ready for independence. We support them through their education, from primary school to university or vocational training, ensuring they are prepared to lead fulfilling adult lives.
