SUPPORT A CHILD
There is no better gift you can give a child, then supporting their monthly living costs . A monthly commitment covers all of the child’s monthly expenses- from food, shelter, care and clothing to routine medical needs and extracurricular activities. This contribution allows one child the opportunity to live, learn, grow and thrive.
SUPPORT A FOSTER MOM
Foster moms are the women who work at the village to care for the children. Each house is staffed with 1-3 foster moms who work around the clock tending to all of the children’s needs while they are at home. These women are responsible for all meals, getting the children dressed, bathed and most importantly providing them with a mother’s unconditional love, comfort and support as they grow up. These women are the ones who are up at all hours of the night with the kids and armed with hugs and kisses when they wake up every morning.
Supporting a foster mom allows us to employ the very best of the best care for our children. Your donation covers the monthly salary, food and medical care for one of our moms. These women are critical to the well being of each child’s life.
HELP US HYDRATE
Water is an essential part of everyday living. Unfortunately there is not a clean water source at the village so bottled water needs to be purchased for all drinking water. Twice a day a water supply is trucked in that provides running water for all plumbing.
HELP US NOURISH
Every child should have access to fresh, healthy food every day. At Dar Bouidar all children and staff receive healthy, well balanced meals that enable them to grow properly. Our kitchen staff prepares meals everyday for over 300 people (children and staff).
VOLUNTEER
Volunteers play a very special and important role at the village. There is no better experience then spending time on site for an extended period of time and creating meaningful connections with the children every day. Volunteers live at the village during their stay and assist the foster moms in the daily routines with the children. Volunteers are all ages and come from all over the world and are required to commit to a minimum stay of four weeks.
