The Village of Dar Atlas

A safe haven for children in Morocco

Dar Atlas

Dar Atlas is the home to over 200 children each one rescued from abandonment and given a second chance at life. Children range in age from 1 year to 17 years old. This is not an orphanage or a shelter, it is a village that is built as a long term solution so that children can grow up with love and compassion in a safe environment. Every child is provided with healthy food, clean water, shelter, education, medical care, and most importantly, the dignity of being seen, loved, and supported.

Our Work at a Glance

The Ralls
American Center

The Ralls American Center stands at the heart of our village. A vibrant, welcoming space where children gather to learn and participate in all programming funded by AFAK.

A Place Built on Generosity, Rooted
in Love.

The Ralls American Center was made possible through the incredible generosity of the Ralls family, long time supporters of the village, who turned their dream of supporting abandoned children into something lasting and tangible. This vibrant, welcoming space was designed as a place for the children to gather and learn, express themselves, and connect with the world around them.

The Ralls American Center also hosts visitors who come to volunteer their time from around the world and is the hub of our most inspiring cross cultural programs.

It is a space full of warmth and possibility, reflecting the love and commitment that helped bring it to life.
